Residents met a team of young people from the NCS - National Citizen Service, which is a government funded program for 16 year olds around the country, when they visited Grace Muriel House.
Part of their program includes planning different activities to give back to the community. This is a great way for the young people to develop skills such as leadership, confidence and public speaking.
The team had raised funds to plant some sensory plants in our garden, and to give each resident a goody bag. While half of the team were busy planting, the rest of the team were busy in the lounge playing bingo with our residents.
It has been brilliant to have them here and it's fantastic to see the generation gap being bridged and everyone engaging and inspiring each other.
A big thank you to the National Citizen Service team for your hard work.
